Blog Tour Day Ten + Progress!
Today, I am on the International Heat blog discussing what raises the heat rating of an erotic book. It’s just a short discussion on how my views on what makes something erotic changed as I put together Cast the Cards. Have a look. 🙂
The husband-thing and I managed to make some progress on the packing. All our books, DVDs, Xbox and computer games, and non-everyday clothing/towels have been packed. We needed to do some laundry due to some clothes being particularly dusty, but those will be packed up with the sheets tomorrow. We’re also going to tackle the office closet. It’s full of stuff we’ve not touched since we moved in last December, so we’re hoping to par down some more and just toss stuff.
I need to take some pictures tomorrow of some furniture we’re going to post up on Craigs List. If no one bites, we’ll donate everything to Goodwill. Every time we move, there’s always a large donation from us. Sunday, we’ll pack up the kitchen, as that’s a day I don’t do anything with K., and so there’ll be no distraction from packing. I can’t believe we’re moving in two and a half weeks. My mind is boggling because it feels like K. just came for her visit. Now, Thanksgiving AND a move are just around the corner!
As if that weren’t enough, Rachmaninoff is due out in 19 days. 😀 I’m really excited about that one, as it’s completely non-offensive, incredibly traditional, and probably more along the line of what most readers would like to read. I still don’t regret writing and releasing The Keeper–and I’ll be happy to release The Keeper’s Heart next year–but I do understand about some people’s discomfort with the religious themes. This one, though, is 100% tropey vampire love story. 😄
